Repurpose of an existing 1920's garage (built to park the first ambulances downtown) into a family-oriented Yoga and Wellness facility.

Modest budget, big ideas. We started by exposing the original concrete walls as well as the redwood roof framing and trusses. The rest became simple moves to compliment the beauty of these existing elements.
LUNA, bar and lounge.
New bar and lounge for the infamous Yohannes brothers. Finally, a real bar to compliment the perpetually trendy Italian Bistro and provide a creative outlet for the multi-talented Yohannes family.
Before the “green” revolution began, this project was developed with sustainable principles at heart: utilizes local materials, re-uses scrap materials in creative ways,
Incorporates non-toxic finishes.
A long narrow bar with a free flowing soffit overhead accentuates the long-thin profile of the space. The palette is distinguished by hand rubbed recycled copper wall panels, a white oak bar top and re-purposed cold rolled steel panels discarded from a larger commercial project.
